ITC-AeroLeasing, Inc. finances three Cessna Grand Caravans for US operator Surf Air Mobility

9th January 2025
ITC-AeroLeasing, Inc. (ITC) announces the financing of three Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EXs for US partner Surf Air Mobility.

Two of the aircraft are brand new and have been delivered at Textron Aviation’s manufacturing facility in Wichita, KA in October, while the third Caravan is a pre-owned aircraft, re-financed by ITC under a sale and lease-back structure. All three aircraft will serve Surf Air Mobility’s routes in the U.S., as well as serve on liaisons with Hawaii. Surf Air Mobility is the largest commuter airline in the US by scheduled departures, and one of the largest passenger operators of Cessna Caravans. The additional three Caravans will reinforce their existing fleet to better serve the existing network, as well as new routes, as Surf Air Mobility is committed to improving regional air mobility.

The Grand Caravan EX is a popular model for regional passenger airlines, favored for its interior flexibility, passenger capacity and payload performance. The large cabin can carry up to 14 people and it can be configured for various operation types, including VIP interior or comfortable commuter configuration.
The 208B Grand Caravan EX is the latest upgraded variant of the famous 208 Cessna Caravan. Evolving from the previous 208B Grand Caravan model, the “EX” has been improved with a more powerful engine, larger fuselage, a better climb rate, speed and take-off ground roll.

ITC-AeroLeasing is committed to improving connectivity between (often remote) communities by supporting companies such as Surf Air Mobility. We are proud to be partnering with Surf Air Mobility, a company which is also heavily invested in the development of green propulsion technology, including electric and hybrid-electric powertrains for Cessna Caravan aircraft, working towards a more environmentally friendly form of air travel.

Mirika Nakayama, CEO of ITC-AeroLeasing, said:

“After beginning our relationship with Surf Air Mobility a couple of years ago, we are excited to strengthen our partnership by financing more Grand Caravans to support and modernize Surf Air Mobility’s fleet growth. Surf Air Mobility’s vision for better and greener regional air mobility in the US is well aligned with the values of ITC, as we focus on financing and leasing solutions for aircraft which can be beneficial to society and cleaner for the environment.”
